Money Exchange:   
Check the exchange rates for daily Mexican peso exchange rate against US dollars, Canadian dollars, and the Euro. The best money exchange rates are in the Puerto Vallarta airport at the HSBC exchange. You can use US dollars (not traveler checks) at most of the stores and restaurants in San Pancho and the surrounding area. San Pancho does NOT have a cash machine.

A bank (HSBC) with a cash machine (caja permanente) is located in the town of Bucerias, halfway to Puerto Vallarta. Another cash machine is located in Bucerias next to the Chinese architectural building on the ocean side of hwy MEX200.
